Turn Coat[edit | edit source]

In Turn Coat, Harry Dresden attempts a series of elemental spells to combat the guardian of Demonreach. He uses "Geodas" to dig a sinkhole underneath the entity. The guardian was unphased, and remained standing on empty air.[3]

In Changes, Harry Dresden notes earth magic isn't his forte, but Ebenezar McCoy made sure he learned one spell. When hiding Bob, two Swords of the Cross, and a bag of illicit goods, he used "Dispertius" to dig a deep hole in the ground of the Nevernever as a hiding spot, and "Resarcius" to cover the hole.[4]
